St. Cecilia Catholic Parish was founded in 1959. The first building was a Quonset hut that was used as a place of worship. In 1964, the present church was dedicated.
The first pastor was Father Reinhard Eck. There have been a total of seven pastors during the parishes existence. Fr. Thomas Wai is the currently serving the parish.
The school opened in 1966 in the basement of the church. At its inception, three Dominican Sisters staffed the school.
The new parish hall and school were opened and dedicated in 1990.
In 2005, two new classrooms were added to the school that would allow for the expansion of the middle school.
Since it's inception, the parish has grown to nearly 300 families and the school currently serves an enrollment of over 150 students in grades Preschool - 8.
